Fred, that was a great read. As I approach my 67th, next month, I see and understand better how this is true. I still struggle; am coming to grips better with the age/loss of strength. I try not to be stupid and keep within myself whatever that is. I like articles like this to make me realize that many of us are faced with the problem. It is still a struggle. I continue to train hard and make sure that my ego does’t get to involved. The best way I have found to do this is to keep the reps fairly high, and add weight when I can. Also by taking the time to recover. Sometimes it is 3 training days a week; sometimes it is two. The rest helps both the mental a physical.

Thanks again for the great post.

    Mike

  2. I’m with you, Mike. I exercise every day – just in a different capacity and don’t worry about the formalities that are usually involved with training.
